Sail wherever you want

You can race at your favorite sailing spot that is most convenient to you. We do not restrict your competition area. You are also free to travel and race anywhere in the world.

Sail whenever you want

You can start a race and submit your race anytime you want. A race typically takes around 30min. You can compete 24/7, all year round, whenever it is convenient for you and the weather is good for racing.

No entry free

It is free to join the SailingMetrics league. There is no entry fee.

How to join

1. Create an account on SailingMetrics, it is free to use.
2. Get hold of a smartphone that you can take on the water. Either use a waterproof phone such as the ones from Ulefone or protect your smartphone with a case.
3. Install our SailingMetrics app on your phone. You can download it from Google Play.
4. Next time you go sailing, take the smartphone with you. Take care not to lose it. When you are on the water, open the app, login and start a new league race.
5. The smartphone guides you through the process of the league race: First you need to define the competition area where your race course is placed, then you need to sail a calibration to allow the app to estimate the wind direction as well as your upwind and downwind speed. Once this is done, a 30min course is placed in your competition area and a start sequence marks the start of your race.
6. Once you finished the race it is automatically uploaded and scored. Check the skipper ranking for your result. Congratulations, well done!
